Intent

Our PSHE curriculum is rooted in Gospel values, fostering the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of all pupils. We aim to nurture compassionate, responsible, and resilient individuals who live out their faith in service to others. As a school community, we want every pupil to know that they are valued, supported, and that ‘being one of ours’ means being part of a family built on faith, respect, and love.

Our curriculum equips pupils with the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to navigate modern society with confidence and integrity. Through a holistic approach, we address key themes such as relationships and sex education (RSE), mental and physical well-being, online safety, financial literacy, and citizenship, ensuring alignment with Catholic teachings and respect for the dignity of all.

We encourage pupils to reflect on moral and ethical issues, promoting respect, empathy, and a commitment to the common good. By fostering a strong sense of self-worth and responsibility, we prepare pupils to make informed decisions that support their personal growth and contribute positively to society.

Our PSHE curriculum aspires to form young people who embody Christ’s love, demonstrate leadership, and social justice, ensuring they leave school as confident, compassionate, and faith-filled citizens of the world.
