Rounders Results

On Wednesday the 7th June, the Year 7, 8 and 9 rounders teams travelled to Christ the King for their first fixture of the season. Year 7 found themselves trailing by just one rounder at half time. Despite their best efforts, which included rounders from Zuzanna Rapa and Annalise Kelly together with some excellent fielding from Heidi Quinn and Willow Rimmer, it wasn’t quite enough and we lost 12-10.5. Year 8 won their game convincingly 7 – 0.5 and it was nice to be able to field a mixed team, as we had three boys who have been training and were consequently selected to represent school. These were Owen Skeffington, Archie Latham and Charlie Whelan. Year 9 also had a successful match and won 6 – 3.5. This was excellent preparation for their upcoming tournament next week.
