T20 Cricket at Old Trafford

On Thursday, 25th May a group of fifteen pupils from Year 7 to 10 visited Emirates cricket ground, Old Trafford to watch T20 cricket. Students were fortunate enough to see two matches. The first T20 was the mens’ game which saw Lancashire Lightening play Leicestershire Foxes. Lancashire won convincingly by 8 wickets. Next came the women’s T20 as Manchester Thunder took on the Blaze. Unfortunately, we were not quite as successful and despite some late wickets by Manchester, we lost by 3 wickets. Pupils had a great day and got to test out their bowling speeds and catching abilities on the various attractions outside the grounds. They also got autographs and photos taken with several key Manchester and England players.
