Blackpool Zoo Project
This year we have started a new ‘wellbeing project’ in collaboration with Blackpool Zoo, which aims to encourage positive health and wellbeing, whilst allowing pupils to develop new skills such as decision making and problem solving. Our first outing took place last Friday and 12 KS3 pupils had the rare opportunity to clean out a rhea enclosure and feed penguins and pelicans . The highlight was meeting and feeding carrots to Darwin the 120 year old, 35 stone Aldabran tortoise! Everyone had a great time and are very much looking forward the next outing in a couple of weeks.
