Guide Dogs Wellbeing Day
On Monday 8th May, 6 Guide Dogs and their owners came into school to run a wellbeing day for our pupils. The pupils were invited to spend 20 minutes stroking the dogs and relaxing, away from the current pressures of examinations. This activity not only allowed our pupils the opportunity to de-stress, but it also enabled our pupils to learn more about the work that the Guide Dogs Charity do for the blind. Furthermore the day raised £500 for the Guide Dogs, through ticket selling and donations. This money, combined with £1000 previously raised for the Guide Dogs, will allow us to name and meet our own Guide Dog puppy in the near future!
